Stand up and say no to fur!

Paris fashion week is drawing to a close and the highlight for me was singer PINK’S stand against designers who use fur.

The two-time Grammy award winner, joined forces with Stella McCartney in the launch of a new PETA animal rights campaign.

Pink, born Alecia Beth Moore, said “Killing animals for their skin is so disgusting that it doesn’t make me want to befriend designers who use them.”

Stella McCartney who has always supported PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), and has never used fur for her catwalk collections, launched the new PETA advert with Pink.

Unfortunately Jean-Paul Gaultier doesn’t agree with the anti-fur campaign, and when 50 PETA activists turned up his catwalk show, shouting “Gaultier assassin” it made him sympathise even less with the cause.

“They piss me off because they’re violent, frankly I don’t give a damn. I will continue to do fur, I love doing fur.” Gaultier said.

The new PETA ad is voiced by Pink and Ricky Gervais.

I sure hope that designers stop advocating fur soon and celebs really need to stop wearing it. It’s disgusting and I hope PETA and other animal organizations continue with their great work
